Become a Life Saver
The purpose of Life SaversSM is to:
- Encourage families to discuss organ and tissue donation
- Build
public awareness and acceptance about the value of organ
and tissue donation
- Reduce the number of patients waiting for
a transplant.
Student volunteers, with the assistance of a teacher sponsor,
distribute educational brochures to empower teens to communicate
the life value of organ and tissue donation to their families.
One component of the brochure is a brief questionnaire to be completed
by participating students.
Gift of Life will provide all necessary
materials for the Life Savers program. Life Savers may
be customized to meet the needs of each school community.
